It's a windy night on my block. All the ice is melting. Everything's cold and damp. I baked Christmas cookies today and watched bits and pieces of the Lord of the Rings on tv. My dad, sister and I went to see each movie when I'd come home for Christmas. This year we're all about Sweeny Todd.

This is a (kind of) unsuccessful Polaroid transfer and collage. One snowy Presidents Day a few years ago I ran up and down my stairs, taking the Polaroid with one of my old land cameras and then running up stairs to pull it apart and let it develop on paper. I still haven't quite gotten the hang of it.
